Diocese of Chichester Safeguarding

The Church of England’s National Safeguarding Team have developed a new version of the Leadership training, which replaces the version that has been running nationwide since 2020

This course is aimed at those in a Leadership role and promotes a learning journey for participants. Clergy, Licensed Readers, Safeguarding Officers, employed youth/family workers and ALM's should complete this training.

The Virtual Safeguarding Leadership Learning Pathway requires pre-course work to be completed. The reason for this is that the Pathway encourages participants to engage in a process of reflective learning. The pre-course work should take approximately two hours.

This training is completed via a learning management system called Moodle where workbooks, coursework, Zoom links, case study and certificates are accessed.

  1. Go to the CofE Training Portal
  2. Register or login on the portal if you have not already done so (if you have already completed Basic and Foundation training, you will already have an account on the Portal). You will need your previous username and password
