Parish websites must contain enough information about safeguarding to enable someone to understand your parish’s commitment to safeguarding practice, to know who to speak with if they have a concern, and to find out more information should they need to.
Minimum Requirements
- Name and contact details of the Parish Safeguarding Officer either on the homepage or as a direct link from the homepage,
- This link should in a prominent position on the page, such as across the top. It is important that you check whether the safeguarding is clearly visible for someone using a mobile device as well as a desktop computer.
- The email address should be a separate email address such as safeguardingofficer@allsaintsanytown.co.uk not a personal one. More than one person should have access to that email account: (to cover for sickness and holidays) and make it clear to everyone who has access to this email address.
- Details of the Diocesan Safeguarding Team and a link to our website.
- This is for someone who wishes to report a concern to someone outside of your church.
