Parish websites must contain enough information about safeguarding to enable someone to understand your parish’s commitment to safeguarding practice, to know who to speak with if they have a concern, and to find out more information should they need to.
At a minimum, this means that your parish’s website must contain, either on the homepage or (more probably) as a direct link from the homepage, the name and contact details of the Parish Safeguarding Officer. This link should in a prominent position on the page, such as across the top (similar to the 'How to Guides' section of this website that you clicked on to view this page). It is important that you check whether the safeguarding is clearly visible for someone using a mobile device as well as a desktop computer.
Many PSOs would prefer not to have their personal email address and phone number online, so many parishes have provided them with a separate email address, along the lines of safeguardingofficer@allsaintsanytown.co.uk. This is perfectly acceptable, although you should think about who has access to that email account: you will need to balance the need for resilience (more than one person having access to cover for sickness and holidays) with confidentiality (not too many people having access).
Very good practice would be to make clear on the website who has access to the email account, so people can make informed decisions about whether or not to send an email. For instance, if someone wanted to make a safeguarding complaint about a churchwarden, they would need to know whether or not that churchwarden has access to the email account.
Given this, you should also provide information about how someone could report a concern to someone outside of your church. This should include a clear reference to the Diocesan Safeguarding Website, making clear that this website contains contact details for the Diocesan Safeguarding Team and many other sources of information and guidance about safeguarding in church:

Excellent practice would be for you to include all your parish safeguarding policies on your website, and a link to the following statutory agency reporting options:
Children’s Services (this link takes you the relevant page in the 'What Do I Do If?' section of this website, which has links to the Children's Services reporting pages for East and West Sussex, and Brighton and Hove - choose whichever applies to your parish).
Adult Services (this link takes you the relevant page in the 'What Do I Do If?' section of this website, which has links to the Adult Services reporting pages for East and West Sussex, and Brighton and Hove - choose whichever applies to your parish).
